Tony was recognized for the service he has and continues to provide to the communities of Pierre and Fort Pierre during the Missouri River Flood of 2011. Since word first broke of the impending flood, Tony has put in many 18-20 hour days to relay accurate information quickly. His tireless efforts have made radio the main, trusted source for ongoing news and information for the entire community.

Tony has been the news director at KCCR Radio for 14 years. He has been involved in many organizations within the community, including the Capital City Children’s Choir Board, American Legion Post 8 Baseball Board, Rotary Club, Knights of Columbus, St Joseph School Board, Sts Peter and Paul Parish Council President, and the Red Cross. It is a demonstration of his commitment to the business and his profession that he is pursuing a masters degree in journalism. He and his wife Sheila have 4 grown children and reside in Pierre.
